Summer 2024 Recap at BHCTC
(Date: 10.09.24)

BHC Tennis Club had a fantastic summer, we ran a members Tournament & BBQ that produced some great and entertaining matches, the weather was brutal but absolutely lovely at the same time, it was 30oC plus but all the members braved it out, got out their sun block creams/sprays and just got on with the matches. As always the food provided matched the high quality of tennis, thank you as always to Irene who is always their to feed the members. We also ran a 3 day Summer Camp, we had players from age 4yrs to 16yrs old, Raffe our youngest participant, not only nailed all the drills he also engaged really well in our video analysis section. All the kids worked hard in the sweltering heat but none of them complained, they just got on with it and gave it their best effort.

A big thank you to everyone who participated on both events and helped support the club.

A Rainy Success: Recap of Our Tennis Club's Open Day
(Date: 6th May 2024)

Despite the challenging weather, our recent Open Day at the tennis club was a tremendous success, thanks to the dedication and enthusiasm of our members and community. On 6th May 2024, we welcomed both members and non-members to our club, offering a day filled with tennis, delicious food, exciting activities, and a fantastic raffle.

The rainy weather didn't dampen anyone's spirits, as both new and familiar faces turned out to support the event. Despite the persistent rain, the courts were bustling with activity as players of all ages and skill levels took part in gruelling group coaching sessions.

One of the highlights of the day was the delicious food that was laid out by our very own committee member Irene, it was there for everyone to enjoy. From traditional Filipino dishes to tasty hot dogs, to sweet pancakes and refreshing drinks, there was something for everyone to savour. The food provided the perfect opportunity for members and guests to socialise and relax between sessions.

The raffle was also a great success, with a wide range of prizes that included  dinners in top London Mayfair restaurants and VIP tickets to an o2 show. Everyone eagerly participated, hoping to win one of the fantastic prizes on offer.Despite the less than ideal weather conditions, the activities scheduled for the day were enjoyed by many. All group sessions ran smoothly, with the exception of the cardio session, which unfortunately had to be cancelled due to the rain.

The kids were magnificent, we had children from the age of 5yrs old to 16 yrs old, all working hard and not a single word of complaint from any of them even with the tough conditions.  Despite the challenging weather, we are thrilled to announce that our club still managed to raise an incredible £1.1k during the Open Day. This money will go towards helping to regenerate the club, ensuring that we can continue to provide top-quality facilities and programs for our members. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended the Open Day, despite the rain. To the volunteers and coaches, your support and enthusiasm are truly appreciated and are a testament to the strong sense of team and community that we have started to build here at the tennis club.

A big thank you goes to the Tennis Team: Leo, Demi and Justin, the members who came and supported Irene, Sonia, Rebecca, San and Les, friends and family Sally, Gen, Amnique, Tina and Sophia and many others who I haven't mentioned thank you all for making the day a success. If you were unable to attend the Open Day but are interested in joining our club, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We offer a range of membership options to suit every age and skill level, and we would love to welcome you to our tennis community. Once again, thank you to everyone who braved the rain to make our Open Day such a fantastic success. We look forward to seeing you on the courts again soon!

Group Session Survey

- Update 05 May 2024 -

Survey has now completed thank you to everyone who took part.

With the major changes that have recently taken place at the club we are currently running a group session survey, this will help us determine group sizes for all age groups, times and days of the week most convenient for players. If you are interested in attending any of the groups your input will be a massive help to the tennis team in developing the best possible program for everyone.

Note the survey will finish on Wednesday 1st May 2024.
