  More Success for Brentwood Hard

Ladies 1, have won division 2 of the Stock Winter League 2007/08.

Men's 2,  have won division 4 of the Stock Winter League 2007/08.

Summer Event

We are inviting all members, families and friends to a 

Summer Tennis Lunch on Sunday 20th July. 

There will be tennis arranged for all abilities for all who attend from 10am followed

by a Buffet Lunch served at 12.30.

As we need to arrange catering for this event we must ask that you purchase

a ticket   £8 for adults (£4 for under 14s) 

from Jayne Lewis. Please see the board for further details

Please consider bringing someone along who you might wish to introduce 

to our club as a new member.               

Club Developments

1.  The Lights to Courts 1-4 have now been upgraded making a significant improvement.

2.   The entrance barriers have now been replaced by an electrically operated gate - please continue to use your existing entry fob to gain access.

3.  The interior of the clubhouse has been completely re-painted - please pop in for a look - we hope that you like the new colour scheme !

4.  The hard courts 5-7 have been re-painted.                                                                  

New Coach :

 I am pleased to let you know that following our search for a new Head Coach, we have appointed Chris Drewe to  the position. Chris was formerly Head Coach at Cranbrook Castle and comes to us with over 20 years of coaching experience and a wealth of tennis knowledge; his appointment will be effective from 1st May. Marcus Hobson will continue to oversee the current summer coaching programme - he will then continue as one of our club coaches and will have a major role in our performance programme. We wish them both well in these new endeavours.

 We are looking for a member who would like to be our Webmaster!! We have a great website but need someone to update it on a regular basis. If you are that person and would like to be involved please let me know.

Corporate Tennis Day :

 We recently hosted a corporate tennis day for one of our members and her business colleagues. Les organised a tournament and refreshments were offered If you would like to be able to do something similar we have all the necessary facilities and would be pleased to tailor something for your company.

Parents :

 If anyone would be interested in joining a rota to offer make teas and refreshments to waiting parents between 4pm and 6pm we would be pleased to hear from you.

Bar :

Similarly we need another person to help with cleaning the pipes in the club bar. Help is required as Ian Colclough will be away for a few weeks and cannot always be available.
