Brentwood Hard Court Tennis Club offers 10 flood-lit courts on three different surfaces plus a brand new clubhouse with excellent facilities (including ample car parking) – all set in a beautiful location on the edge of Thorndon Country park.

Our teams are represented in Brentwood, and Essex leagues and we continue to seek competitive players interested in match play.

For beginners and intermediate players we offer a full range of coaching, group or individual, by LTA qualified coaches. There are also a number of weekly social tennis groups.

Whatever your standard, whether you want to play team tennis, play socially or take advantage of our coaching opportunities, Brentwood Hard Court Tennis Club has something for everyone. We are easily accessible form Brentwood, Hornchurch, Romford, Billericay, Ingatestone, Laindon, Horndon on the Hill, West Horndon, Basildon and areas that have the M25, A12 & A127 close by as we are just a short drive from these main routes. We can be reached from the A127 - from the M25, turn off at junction 29 on to the A127 travelling towards Basildon turn left into Childerditch Lane.

From M25 Junction 28 turn off onto the A1023 London Road, turn right into Mascals Lane, continue into Eagle Way, past the Ford building on your right, take the first turning on the right – Childerditch Lane.

The social tennis sessions are as follows

Families and all full members are invited each Saturday afternoon form 2pm for social play, and Team practice sessions. The bar will be open and a BBQ running weather permitting.

Prospective members are invited to make arrangements with the Chairman or Membership Secretary to attend social sessions so that the introduction can be made along with a tour of the club house.

A copy of the Club rules will be forwarded with your receipt for membership fee.

There is a Junior section which has priority use of the courts Monday to Friday, 3.30pm to 6.30pm, and on Saturdays from 9am to 12.30pm. Additionally the Club Coaches have priority use of one court at all times.

Apart from this and the social play sessions, members may arrange their own play.

Home matches in the Essex League are played on Saturday and Sunday afternoons, and in the local leagues on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Any Officer will be willing to answer your questions.
